The next two years.....

This is the Stage House in Kayes. This is a place where we can go to watch movies, cook on a stove and oven, just hang out and stay with other Americans that are passing through town.

This is the cat nursing on the dog. It is just so wrong! They belong to Emily, who lives in the Stage House.
The back corner is my apartment that I will be living in after Swear In. It wasn't ready when I visited so I lived in the Stage House for the week. The apartment has running water, electricity, and 5 or 6 rooms. It is about a 15 minute walk to my work:


This is the tourism office that I will be working at. I am working on eco tourism in the Kayes region of Mali.
This is my boss' son. He is such a little trouble maker but he is quite possibly the cutest kid ever!One day a bunch of us went on a boat ride on the river that runs through Kayes. This is Steven and Natalie. They are in my stage and will be living near me.

We made dinner one night. This is me, Emily, Steve, Jared, Sam and Chris. Emily is a year above us. The rest are in my stage and will be working in the region, although not that near me.:
